Immersion 17cÆð²ÝÊÓÆµ is more than just an academic requirement for all undergraduate students–it’s an opportunity to tailor your educational journey to match your passions and career aspirations. This unique opportunity allows students to work closely with faculty mentors, tap into 17cÆð²ÝÊÓÆµâ€™s extensive resources, and make a difference in their chosen field.
Choose from 1 of 6 pathways, including extensive study abroad and research opportunities, as well as other meaningful projects, internships, and community initiatives.
The sky is the limit with your culminating project. Choose from a preapproved class or design an impactful project that is as creative and unique as you are.
Immersion 17cÆð²ÝÊÓÆµ is a graduation requirement for all undergraduate students, including transfer students. Transfer students can work with their Immersion faculty or staff adviser to determine if any of their previous experiences may count towards completing the immersive experience component of Immersion 17cÆð²ÝÊÓÆµ.Â
Students may complete an unlimited number of immersive experiences. When ready, students invite an Immersion 17cÆð²ÝÊÓÆµ faculty adviser to oversee the creation of their culminating project by the end of their last semester.  Requirements may be completed as part of a pre-approved class or they may take place beyond the classroom or even outside the academic year.

I will be going to medical school in the fall and am excited to use the skills I learned through my Immersion project in future endeavors. I was able to gain exposure to submitting an IRB study, learn about measuring clinical patient outcomes, and how to spearhead a service project from the ground up."
